First-time shoppers

The first time you wish to purchase from Mills & Boon, you will need to create an online Mills & Boon account. You will need to supply personal information (name, address, email, etc) just once and whenever you return to our site to make a purchase, you only need to sign in with your email address and password.

Purchasing from our website

Step 1
Click on the book(s) that you wish to purchase and select the Add To Cart button located beneath the cover image. Your selection will be automatically added to your shopping cart.

If the format you wish to purchase has the Buy Book button next to it, click on Buy Book. The page will reload with the format you have selected. Then click Add To Cart – making sure that the Add To Cart button is next to the format (ebook or paperback) you wish to purchase. Your selection will be added to your shopping cart.

Step 2
When ready to make your payment click on My Cart button then Checkout.
Print book orders will be prompted to check the Delivery address or provide a different delivery address. Please double check the delivery address before clicking on Proceed to Payment.
Ensure you have selected the format you want. If you have any eBooks in your shopping bag it will be noted next to the title.

Step 3
Follow the instructions on screen to complete your payment and submit your order. An order confirmation will show on screen and a receipt will be automatically emailed to you. If you prefer to use PayPal, click on the Pay by PayPal link on the left and log into your PayPal account.
N.B: PayPal is not an available method of payment for any book club subscriptions.

Payment Types

We accept payments via Visa, Mastercard or a PayPal account. Credit card payments will be debited at the time the order is processed. We use the highest levels of encryption available to ensure your purchase is fully protected. PayPal payments will take you to the PayPal website and when the payment is complete you will be returned to millsandboon.com.au.

N.B: PayPal is not an available method of payment for any subscriptions (print or e-book)

History of orders

You can review a history of your orders at any time by going to the Order History area of your account. You can also re-download any eBook purchase by opening any order under Order History and clicking on the Download eBook link. We are still in the process of importing your order history from our previous website. Thank you very much for your patience.

Please note that the website orders and orders made directly through customer service (if you are a print subscription Book Club member) are separate. Only orders made through the website will be visible in your website account order history.

Postage and Handling

We aim to provide the most cost-effective postage for books for all our customers. If you buy single books or packs from millsandboon.com.au they will be shipped together in one parcel. If a book is unavailable for some reason, we will send it to you at a later date or contact you to organise a replacement book. If your order is split we will cover the postage costs on subsequent parcels.

Australian postage rates
Postage to Australian addresses is $7.00 no matter how many books you buy or where you live. Buy one book or twenty books and pay a flat rate of $7.00.

New Zealand postage rates
Postage to New Zealand addresses is $7.50 no matter how many books you buy or where you live. Buy one book or twenty books and pay a flat rate of $7.50.

Fulfillment & Shipping

All orders are processed and mailed within 72 hours from Melbourne. The normal delivery times are:

Australia: allow up to 7-14 business days for delivery (this will depend on your location – e.g. rural or metro)
New Zealand: allow up to 10-17 business days for delivery
Other countries: allow up to 21 days

Refund Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, Mills & Boon will refund your print book order within 30 days of purchase. Please email Customer Service here. If you wish to return a book purchased from a retail store, please refer to that store’s return policy and contact the store you purchased the book from.

N.B: Because eBooks cannot be physically returned, it is our policy to not offer refunds on successful purchases. If you have concerns about your eBook purchase, please email Customer Service here.

Changing your order

You can edit or change the number of items in your shopping bag up until the point you process your payment.

eBook format
Our eBooks are available in EPUB format only. EPUB eBooks are digital versions of print books that you can purchase at this site. Download and read EPUB eBooks on your Windows or Mac computer using Adobe Digital Editions. These can also be transferred from Windows and Mac to many eBook reading devices.

Adobe Digital Editions
Adobe Digital Editions is a free eBook reader application used to read DRM-protected eBooks. Adobe Digital Editions must be installed and activated in order to use the DRM-protected eBooks available at this site.

N.B: you will need to also create an Adobe ID to link your Adobe Digital Editions to your Mills & Boon account therefore please ensure you use the same email address at all times.

Activating Adobe Digital Editions
Activation allows you to read DRM-protected eBooks, as well as downloading them on multiple computers and transferring them to supported portable devices. However, this is a matter of personal preference. Before deciding, please consider the following:

If you use anonymous activation, note these limitations

  • You will only be able to read a downloaded eBook on a single computer
  • These eBooks will no longer be available if you choose to activate Adobe Digital Editions later with an Adobe ID which has already been used on another computer

If you use an Adobe ID

  • You will be able to download an eBook on up to 6 computers/devices that have been activated with the same Adobe ID
  • You will be able to transfer eBooks to supported eBook devices activated with the same Adobe ID

To activate Adobe Digital Editions

  1. Open Adobe Digital Editions
  2. Select Library then Authorise Computer (‘Authorise Computer’ dialog box is displayed)
  3. Enter the email address and password for your Adobe ID then click Activate
  4. Click Finish to close the Setup Assistant dialog box

N.B: If you have downloaded other DRM-protected eBooks with a different Adobe ID then due to DRM-restrictions these books will be incompatible with a new Adobe ID.
