In the North West corner of my state, Victoria, is an area known as the Riverina. The mighty Murray River flows through here, and irrigation has turned part of the desert into the fruit basket of Australia. During post war migration, it also attracted a large Italian community and today, Mildura, and its surrounding towns, are a slice of the Mediterranean in the Outback.

Citrus groves and vineyards, endless sunshine and sandy river beaches combine with fabulous gourmet food to make this part of the world a must visit.I've had some lovely holidays up there and to indulge my love of food and wine and all things Italian, I absolutely had to set a book there.

Abbie came to Bandarra to live a peaceful life. Past experience has shown her she chooses the wrong man every time and she's not going down that painful road again. Ever. She has her job as a GP, her faithful dog, and she lives in a great town. What else could she possibly need?
